Chako Vaughan

Chako Vaughan is one of my favorite all-you-can-eat BBQ places in Canada! The restaurant is clean, spacious, and perfect for hanging out with friends or family. The food is always fresh and delicious, especially the beef, seafood, and side dishes. The staff are friendly, fast, and very helpful. The price is also very reasonable for the quality. I will definitely come back again!

I loved this barbecue place. The menu is all you can eat and you grill the food yourself at the table. The food itself was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very large with lots of seating. The seating is very comfortable with mainly large booths.

Food was amazing when we first got there. Got progressively worse as the grill got dirtier and they didn’t offer to clean it/swap it like the other places do. At 41.99 a head it should be a decent service. We were short on time because we were going to movies after so it’s not like we overstayed our welcome either… The waiter came to check on us once every 20-30min and forgot to refill our drinks - had us parched! The food was super bitter by the end of it and when we asked for the bill, the guy forgot to apply my birthday discount! I walked in expecting to pay full price and then saw the sign in front but hey if that’s your policy and your employee asked to check my ID, then maybe make good on it. Also i was going to tip 15% as i always do but they included a gratuity of 12% already which i felt was a bit forward. Who are they to assume or force patrons to tip for such low quality service? Anyways i do not recommend this location at all. The staff are lazy and distracted and the food isn’t worth it unless you’re eating for 10 minutes and heading out.

The food is always fresh and super tasty—especially the beef, chicken, and side dishes. The staff are really friendly, quick, and helpful, which made the experience even better. Even though it wasn’t my actual birthday yet, we had an early celebration there with a birthday cake, and I’m really glad we did. The prices are fair for how good everything is. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Love that restaurant... Fast service with great tasting meats and veggies. Cooking yourself on Korean grill it's fun and fast as they slice meats very thin so it's actually faster than you think. They change your grilling plate anytime you ask a server, and they have many of them so you can anyone that is passing by. Ordering is easy just like in all you can eat Japaneese restaurants, They have printed all popular items and all you do is write down with pencil how many said items you need and it's served very fast in a small dishes. They are prepared in advance most likely to speed up service. Been there 3 times so far and finally decided to leave review as they really deserve 5 stars. Every single time manager came to our table to check if everything is OK- that's great service! Great location as well 1 min from highway 400. And very reasonably priced. I have included picture of our bill $210 for 4 people on a busy Friday! That's not bad at all. Thank You Chako!

I have been to Chako more than once. Unfortunately my last experience ruined all my positive opinions. Unfortunately the waiters are inadequate. We wanted to have a nice experience for my family who came from abroad on Thursday. We were seated at our table on time and ordered. Since the place was crowded I took pictures of what we ordered because the salmon was forgotten the previous time I came. Even after the food arrived they didn't bring water, but I asked for water when our meal was almost finished. When the food arrived I told them what was missing. The salmon and one chicken were missing. The can of coke we ordered for my mother was forgotten, we reminded them. Instead of the beer we ordered for my brother they brought Canada dry and changed it. I can never say anything to the waiters because the place was busy because they were trying their best but on top of all this we had to wait a while when we asked for the bill. I thank the waiters for doing their best but unfortunately it was not a nice experience with my family. We have nothing to say about the food, it is quite delicious but the service is not good.

I’ve been to Chako a few times before and it used to be just okay, but this visit was a pleasant surprise. They’ve added more variety to the menu—which really made a difference. More meat and sushi options, and the meat tastes a lot better now. Service was also great. The staff were friendly and quick to help with anything we needed. Overall, I’m impressed with the improvements. It feels like they finally listened to feedback. Definitely a much better experience than before.
